The Department of Mathematics of the University of Padova (Italy) invites applications for an assistant professor in probability and its applications. The position is for a fixed term of three years, with the possibility of extension for two more years, and comes with a reduced teaching load (60 hours/year).

The Probability and Finance group in Padova is a leading research unit in the field, counting 14 faculty members and covering all aspects of stochastic processes and their applications. The University of Padova recently opened a master program in Computational Finance and, therefore, we are interested to consolidate this area.

There are significant tax benefits for employees who have conducted research outside of Italy for at least two years.
