We are pleased to invite applications for two positions within a joint research project on Random Fields in Continuous-Time Overlapping Generations Models—a cutting-edge programme developing unified stochastic frameworks to analyse correlated shocks, wealth distributions, and macroeconomic dynamics using SPDEs and advanced stochastic methods.

Postdoctoral Researcher — Umeå University (2-year scholarship)
Join Umeå University to work on stochastic partial differential equations, Malliavin calculus, infinite-dimensional control theory and inequality dynamics in macroeconomic models. This full-time position is embedded in a vibrant research environment in applied and theoretical mathematics.

PhD Studentship — University of Glasgow (1 + 3.5 years)
Based at University of Glasgow, this ESRC-funded studentship supports doctoral research developing quantitative tools for analysing inequality and macroeconomic dynamics via random fields, combining theory with policy-relevant modeling and empirical insights.

Both roles require very strong mathematical skills and welcome candidates with interests in stochastic analysis, SPDEs, and quantitative modelling.
