The Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita” at the University of Padova invites expressions of interest for Associate and Full Professor positions in all areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. This call is part of the Italian “Direct Calls” program, which supports the recruitment of scholars who have held an equivalent academic position abroad for at least three years.

Successful candidates are expected to play an active role in shaping the Department’s academic strategy and governance, contribute to teaching and mentoring, and provide leadership in major research initiatives and grant applications. The Department has recently launched a Master’s degree in Computational Finance and is particularly interested in strengthening research and teaching in this area. The Department is committed to improving the gender balance of its faculty and particularly welcomes applications from qualified women.

The selection process is expected to lead to appointments effective by Spring 2027. In accordance with current Italian legislation, eligible candidates who have worked outside Italy for at least three years may benefit from tax exemption for a certain number of years.
