The Institute for Mathematics and Scientific Computing at the Faculty of Natural Sciences is seeking to appoint a Professor (f/m) of Stochastics (40 hours per week; permanent employment according to the Austrian Law on Salaried Employment (AngG); expected starting date June 1st 2016).
The incumbent represents the discipline “Stochastics” and combines application-oriented stochastic research directed towards natural, engineering or life-sciences with a solid knowledge in continuous stochastic analysis. Expertise in numerical implementation is desirable. The incumbent has the qualification and the motivation to build up a corresponding work-group. The professorship is equipped similar to a German W2-professorship. The professorship  strengthens the research core area “Models and Simulation”, the inter-university cooperation NAWI Graz and provides links to the existing key Projects of the Institute.
