The IDS (Information Systems, Decision Sciences and Statistics) department at ESSEC Business School invites applications for two full-time faculty positions in Statistics: one in its Paris campus and one in its Singapore campus.
ESSEC is a leading European business school, a French “Grande Ecole” founded in 1907, with two campuses, one in the Paris metropolitan area and another in Singapore. It offers training in business administration at all levels (BA, MSc, MBA, EMBA, PhD) with a specific emphasis on quantitative tools in its pedagogy and research.
Candidates will have the opportunity to teach statistics and/or econometrics at all levels. Teaching is mainly done in English and knowledge of French is not required to apply. Research is an important part of the profile at ESSEC. We are looking for candidates whose research relates to high dimensional statistics, mathematical statistics with applications in the field of data science.
To be considered, candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Statistics obtained before 2013 (or related fields), with a very good mathematical background, and show evidence of excellence both in research and in teaching. Support to research is key to ESSEC policy and faculty members enjoy an attractive incentive based research environment. Rank of appointment (assistant-associate-full) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries are competitive at European levels.
The final closing date for applications is November 1, 2015.
Candidates should send their applications to: stat-position15@essec.edu
