The Department of Mathematics, Humboldt University of Berlin invites applications for a PhD position (scientific Assistant, 2/3 part-time employment, E 13 TV-L HU).

Job description: Research and teaching in stochastic analysis, probability theory and/or financial mathematics.

Requirements: The successful candidate holds a Master degree in Mathematics or Business Mathematics, has a good background in probability theory and a strong interest in stochastic analysis, stochastic control, stochastic games or financial mathematics.

The initial appointment will be for 4 years; the starting date is flexible.
