The Department of Mathematics at North Carolina State University invites applications for a junior tenure-track position in Financial Mathematics beginning Fall 2020. Applications from suitably qualified candidates for more senior positions may be considered. We are seeking exceptionally well-qualified individuals with research interests compatible with those in the department in the general area of financial mathematics. Among the areas of interest are computational finance, financial risk analysis, portfolio optimization and machine learning in finance. Candidates must have a PhD in the mathematical sciences or related areas; a successful post-doctoral experience; an outstanding research program; a commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and demonstrated potential for excellence in both research and teaching.
