There is an opening for a postdoc position at the University of Edinburgh. A 2-year position to commence on the 1st September 2020 or on a mutually agreed date. The position is jointly funded by the Alan Turing Institute in London and the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh, and will give the successful candidate an opportunity to interact with both institutions.

The successful candidate should show very considerable promise in research in at least one of the areas: Probability Theory, Stochastic Analysis, Stochastic Control, Optimal Transport. The post offers the applicant an exciting opportunity to pursue world-class research and to progress and embed her/his career in exciting and progressive institutions. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching in their area of research. In addition, the Alan Turing Institute, a national research institute for artificial intelligence and data science, creates additional opportunities to engage with researchers from other leading universities in the UK.
