The American University of Paris invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning 1 August 2023. This full-time position is housed in the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Environmental Science.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline at the time of appointment. An Applied Mathematician is preferred for this position, but excellent applications from candidates in related fields will be considered. Specialities of particular interest include mathematical and computational modeling (particularly for the social sciences); computational biology and environmental modeling (ecological and population dynamics, gene/genomic theory); public health modeling (epidemiological modeling, demographic modeling); statistical modeling (including data analysis and data science); predictive modeling, machine learning and language models (computational linguistics, natural language models in data science); physical sciences (astrophysics, climate, fluid dynamics, climate).
