The School of Mathematics at Monash University invites applications for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Financial Mathematics. The School is a research leader with a strong international reputation in Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Finance, and Applied and Computational Mathematics. Exceptional candidates in any area of Financial Mathematics will be considered; the School is looking to complement the current strengths in this area and further develop its internationally recognised teaching and research program.

Candidates will be expected to have an outstanding research record and help our drive for excellence across the School. They will conduct cutting edge mathematical research in Financial Mathematics. Topics may include stochastic analysis, PDEs, stochastic optimal control, computational methods in Finance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering and developing undergraduate and postgraduate units, contributing to teaching of general undergraduate mathematical units as well as specialist topics including for the Master of Financial Mathematics course.

To be considered, you will have a PhD in mathematics or a related area, along with proven ability to perform independent research, and a strong commitment to teaching, and the supervision of research students.
