The School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Lecturer in applied probability (permanent position).

We are recruiting in Applied Probability to start on 1 August 2017 or by agreement. We expect candidates to have either an established record of first-class research or to be able to demonstrate excellent research potential, and are seeking candidates who have experience of interdisciplinary research with links to other fields, for instance, Computing, Engineering or Finance, or links to industry or commerce. As well as carrying out high-quality research, the successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate courses and to the teaching and further development of computational or data-science aspects of our successful MSc programmes in Financial Mathematics.
