The Department of Mathematics at the LSE is on a growth trajectory and is seeking to appoint one or more career-track Assistant Professors to contribute to its further development. We invite applications from candidates with proven research ability in an area of mathematics that fits with the existing research strengths of the Department of Mathematics. We particularly welcome candidates working in FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS or MATHEMATICAL GAME THEORY.
A successful candidate will have an established track-record of research at a level of international excellence, a completed PhD in a mathematical subject by September 2016, and a commitment to excellence in teaching. She or he will maintain an active programme of research and will contribute to the general work of the department, including the teaching of a range of mathematics courses.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to visit the School in February/March 2016.
