The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University Münster (Germany) invites applications for a temporary Junior-Professorship (W1) in Probability at the Institute for Mathematical Statistics commencing as soon as possible. The position is a fixed-term professorship for the duration of three years. Pending a positive evaluation, the position may be extended by another period of three years.
The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent expertise in a modern field of probability, as for example in complex networks or stochastic analysis, that broadens the research focus of the Institute for Mathematical Statistics.
The candidate is required to have a PhD in mathematics, a strong research record and experience in teaching at university level. The candidate will be expected to adequately contribute to the institute’s activities in research, teaching and administration.
