Salary: AUD140,758 – AUD155,072 p.a. (Level D) or AUD181,308 (Level E), plus additional actuarial loading, plus 17% superannuation.
The Centre for Actuarial Studies at the University of Melbourne wishes to fill a Chair position or an associate professorship. The successful applicant for a chair will have a distinguished international reputation and outstanding research record in a field of actuarial studies or financial mathematics, and the capacity to provide high quality research and academic leadership within the Centre and University. The successful applicant for an associate professorship will have a well-established track record of publications in top-ranked international journals, will have been the recipient of competitive research grants, and will have demonstrated quality as a teacher and research student supervisor. The successful applicant will be a fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia or hold an equivalent qualification.
The Centre for Actuarial Studies has an international reputation and is accredited by the Actuaries Institute of Australia. It has been designated a Centre of Actuarial Excellence by the Society of Actuaries. The Centre has nine full-time staff including the leading researchers David Dickson and Mark Joshi.. The University of Melbourne is internationally recognised for its teaching and research.
