The working group of Applied Statistics at the School of Business and Economics at Humboldt University Berlin is seeking for a Postdoctoral candidate (3/4 part-time employment for 6 months but expected extension by further 2.5 years and payment on a full-time basis) at the earliest possible date.
This research position is seeking for applicants aiming with a PhD in Statistics/Data Science. Profound knowledge in Statistics/Data Science, Mathematics with a specialisation in Statistics/Data Science or Computer Science with specialisation in Data Science is required.

Job description:
Scientific research and teaching at the working group of Applied Statistics. The prospective candidate will develop statistical methods that build a bridge between Machine Learning (also deep learning) techniques and advanced Bayesian methods. This position is initially fixed for six months but extension is aimed at.

Job requirements:
Completed PhD (or equivalent) in Mathematics (specialisation in Statistics/Data science), Computer Science (specialisation in Statistics/Data Science), Econometrics or a related field of research are required. Furthermore, advanced knowledge in machine or statistical learning, computational methods, Bayesian statistics and flexible regression models is necessary.
