We have an opening for an enthusiastic PhD student in the field of Quantitative Finance in an interdisciplinary research environment.

The PhD student will be hosted in one of the faculties of Computer Science, Mathematics, or Business, Economics and Statistics. The PhD student will be co-supervised by members of at least two different faculties and work on research problems  in the domain of Finance.
Potential topics are visual analysis tools for the analysis of volatility, liquidity and market microstructure relations based on large cross-sections of limit order book data. A second possible area may be the development and application  of dimension reduction techniques for high-dimensional dependence and network structures. Among others, further potential topics may be the development of monitoring tools to analyze market dynamics around singular events.
