Cornell University’s School of Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) seeks a Professor of Practice within Cornell Financial Engineering Manhattan (CFEM). CFEM operates on the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City. This position entails teaching courses and advising Master of Engineering students in applied projects in financial engineering, with particular emphasis on data science and machine learning tools. The specific duties and their timing will be worked out in consultation with the ORIE Director.

This position is non-tenure track and at 50% effort. It is envisaged to have a term of three years, renewable upon mutual agreement. Requisite is a strong interest in the broad mission of the School and exceptional potential for leadership in data science and machine learning in finance within the educational mission of ORIE. We seek individuals that have experience in developing and implementing data science and machine learning tools. Salary will be appropriate to qualifications and engineering school norms.
